Oh happy day! I’ve received my acceptance letter from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris!
Here is my Acceptance Letter from Le Cordon Bleu!!!
This is so exciting! And Tom is just as thrilled as I am. He’s going to join me in Paris. He’s just grand. I’m sure we both will have a great time. Our youngest one will have a splendid time too. He’s going to be our house guard for a year or maybe two years. Yes, I might do an extra year to earn the Diplome for Sommelier at Le Cordon Bleu.
I’m sure our son will do fine at home. I would have been delighted too if my parents were going to leave me for a year alone in their house at the age of 18, with a car!!! Of course, Tom will drive over to Hauptstuhl from time to time. And I hope there will be some long weekends I’ll be able to visit him and my parents in Antwerp too. Plus, son can hop on the train in Saarbruecken and he’s in Paris in one and a half hour.
Oh, this is going to be so good.
To celebrate tonight, I’ve made chicken with Comte, mushrooms and steamed potatoes. The recipe will be there tomorrow!
I’m going to sleep well tonight.
Wish you too a good night sleep!
Oops, I just noted Le Cordon Bleu didn’t have their dates right. It should read January 4 to August 26, 2011 instead of 2010. I’ll write them an email right now.
Toodeloo!

Yay! Exciting news. Congratulations
Don’t worry about me by the way. I’m sure I’ll be fine.
You sure will! Trust you completely (or is that a dangerous thing to say?).
Thanks for making the hamburgers today.
Can I have your recipe???
Gaby
Congratulations Gaby! Tom, who is almost bursting with pride and excitement, announced the beginning of your adventure to the Sheridan Group. Very neat to see visitors come to your blog as the news travels across the globe. I look forward to seeing more of your recipes and stories.
Best Regards,

Hi Carl,
Thanks for your nice comment. Yes, it is very exciting for all of us here. I do receive a lot of visitors coming from the Dan’s mentoring group since this morning. It is a lot of fun keeping a blog.
And even more fun to have people reading it too!
I’ll keep you updated!
Gaby
Congratulations! I could say you’re a lucky woman, but this particular “luck” wouldn’t have arrived if you hadn’t been worthy of it and had the nerve to seek it.
Hi Linda,
Thanks! Tom is so good at spoiling me, just as much (or maybe more?) as I spoil him. I’m lucky to have married my best friend who encourages me and is interested in all my endeavors.
I’ll keep you posted.
Gaby
Congrats Gaby!
One of my favorite child hood memories was watching Julia Childs and Jacques Pepin duke it out in her kitchen.
…I told Tom he has even better food in his near future! (if thats possible)
Thanks Johnny,
Julia Child was unknown to me until Tom told me about her. He bought me a DVD of some of her TV-shows from the sixties. I’m enjoying them for the first time. Good taste you had, back then!

Gaby, Congratulations! This is going to be a wonderful adventure! I am one of the Sheridan traders and I met you when you and Tom attended the meeting in Chicago a few years ago. It will be great to follow your experiences through this blog. I look forward to hearing about Le Cordon Bleu, living in Paris, new recipes, etc. as your next few years unfold. Enjoy!
Mary Ann Norfleet/California
Thank you, Mary Ann!
I remember you at the meeting in Chicago
You can count on me, keeping you updated about our time in Paris!
Success with trading!
